Hidden Away

Hidden away 'neath aged, golden eyes,
Moon’s love laid awaiting its blossoming.
One true gift, unveiled, bereft of reprise,
Justly cease her eternal wandering.
T'was a time dreams unattainable reached
Ere the bitter fire of Day scorched and burned.
Her secret prayers, unto each Night beseeched,
Pray thee send such love would’st thou see returned.
Gallant Sun pledged insuperable quest,
Shining brightly, a silvery fire-spark.
Orbited, eclipsed, came at last to rest
Beside Moon, nestling amidst the dark.
Day and Night doth now serenely recline.
