Though neither
judge nor jury,
her decision
was absolute.
A rigid body belied cold
precision, honed
by prolificity;
a steely stance opposed
her natural theatre,
perfected
in the spectacle
of tyranny
that towers behind egalité’s
ennobled frame;
a rusting blade
barely masquerades
as liberté.
And in fraternité,
a basket
at
her foot for the waste.
