Utopian Unity

On the shattered face of the mirrored sky,
A crescent-moon smile still lingers with pride.
Though merely another temporary victory torn
From the impending majesty of oncoming dawn.

Behind the galaxy's golden gate,
Solitary figures gathered, await.
On a fiery comet's tail we ride,
Sailing beyond the waves of time.

In a repose of shadows, braced for the death
Of this constant world where life holds its breath,
I see you standing but a stone's throw from fear -
Under my aegis it shall never come near.

From the moment of creation, a watery birth,
Through revolving cycles of this dying earth;
This instant of recognition - nexus of new morn -
Blessed with the connection of souls together born.
