Under Fate's Cold Eyes

Under fate's cold eyes, set on me like clay,
Moving in circles through shadows at play.
An arrow through my heart pointing the way
To places I've been but never could stay.

From purity of twilight shadows we meet;
In the savage essence of ghostly streets.
Disaster smiling on instincts we keep
Hidden in whispers in the blazing deep.

Sweet nectar of love which young hearts require,
Now drifting beyond the flame of desire.
A tortured core awakened to inspire
Against quivering walls, laughing like fire.

Traversing the tides on the sea of souls;
Mast'ring the sadness in these tears that roll.
Should circumstance find me seeking the whole,
Would mem'ry permit a loss of control?
